Every four minutes, a child (under age 18) is abused in America.
By 18 years of age, 59% of kids in foster care are likely to be incarcerated as a juvenile.
3 in 10 of the nation’s adult homeless were foster kids.
Less than 2% of former foster children earn a college degree.
There is so much that needs to be done and so many individuals to be impacted, that we simply cannot do it alone. Please consider giving of your time and/or resources, knowing that every moment and every dollar add up to changed hearts and better futures … theirs and ours.
As part of its ongoing mission of providing acceptance, inspiration, and support for children with foster care backgrounds, Love Fosters Hope (LFH) is continuously seeking compassionate individuals who are willing to give their time and resources to help see young lives positively transformed.
Below are the most urgent current needs at LFH, and we hope you’ll consider investing in the future by responding to them. If you’d like to contribute in a way not listed, visit our donate or contact pages. We thank you for however you choose to help!
Our generation has become dependent on the computer. The lack of owning or having access to a laptop has become a significant disadvantage for many teens in foster care and aging out. Applying for jobs, creating resumes, class assignments, research, and applying for college can come to a stand still if you do not have a computer. Help us eliminate this obstacle by helping us put the future into their hands. Several teens are hoping to begin online classes in January. Join us in making this a possibility.
