Love Fosters Hope hosts the Empowered To Connect Conference, together with Show Hope and The Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at TCU — a two-day conference designed to help adoptive and foster parents, ministry leaders and professionals better understand how to connect with “children from hard places” in order to help them heal and become all that God desires for them to be.
The conference features David Cross, Mandy Howard, Daren Jones, Dan and Terri Coley, Ryan and Kayla North, Casey Call, and Cindy Lee and is ideal for adoptive and foster parents, those considering adoption or foster care and those who are serving and supporting others, including social workers, agency professionals, church staff and ministry leaders, counselors, therapists and others.
Foster and Adoptive Parents Certificate for training:
Adoptive and foster parents in need of documentation for training or continuing education hours will receive a separate certificate each day. You will be responsible for noting which sessions were attended.
The Empowered to Connect Conference and Simulcast has been approved by the National Board of Certified Counselors for NBCC credit. Show Hope is responsible for all aspects of the program (NBCC Approval Number SP-2801).
Show Hope has received approval for the simulcast sites to offer distance-learning continuing education opportunities. The simulcast is approved by the National Association of Social Workers for 5.5 continuing education contact hours on Friday (Approval #886649357-1759) and 5.5 continuing education contact hours on Saturday (Approval #886649357-8997). Please note that simulcast viewers seeking NASW credit will be required to complete a post-test and receive a score of 80% or above to receive a certificate.
