About Us

Our

Mission

Inspiring hope and bringing healing to children and youth in foster care, who have been abused, abandoned and neglected.

Kids and teens in foster care long to experience acceptance and provisions, and instead face a future of uncertainty where so many odds are stacked against them.

Our goal is to model the character of Jesus for them, show them their value as individuals, and equip them with the tools they need to live independently and to the fullness of their God-given potential. The centerpiece of our ministry is summer camps, where these precious young lives can trade feelings of hurt and rejection for self-esteem, love and respect.

We fulfill our mission by providing uniquely designed transformative summer camps, year-round mentoring, outreach to resident treatment centers, campers reunions, and practical support for young adults aging out of foster care.

Our

Vision

Foster children and youth will develop into healed, educated, and independent adults with hope for their future.

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
James 1:27

Why

Our Programs Matter?

• 20% of youth who age out of foster care will become instantly homeless.

• 7 out of 10 girls who were in foster care will become pregnant before the age of 21.

• More than half of these youth will be incarcerated at some point by their mid-20s.

• Only 1 out of every 2 youth who resided in foster care will have some form of gainful employment by the age of 24.

• Less than 3% of these youth will earn a college degree at any point in their life.

Love Fosters Hope’s goal is to not just halt these trends but to reverse them, and it starts by showing every young person we reach that the pain associated with their foster care past doesn’t define them or their potential for a more fulfilling life.

To fulfill our mission, we partner with 200+ volunteers who have a heart for foster kids and teens. Together all contribute over 25,000 volunteer hours annually!
